Did you know that "wonton" is Cantonese for "swallowing clouds?" Maybe that's why I feel like I'm in heaven when I'm devouring wontons at an alarming speed. Updating my review because after a few more visits, I have more to discuss! As stated before, I've had the Crispy Chicken with Crispy Peppers, Ma Po Tofu, Pork Fried Rice, Yang Zhou Fried Rice, Smoked Duck, Shredded Potato, Sautéed Pork with Soy Bean Paste and Buns, Fried A Choy, and Tianjing Pancake. Add Spicy Wontons and House Special Grilled Fish (deceptive name as it sits in a flavorful aromatic broth), Braised Pork Belly with Salted Greens, and Stir-fried Green Beans to the list now. Everything I've had so far has been amazing and truly authentic. It's a great experience every time I've popped in and the flavors never miss. Adding that final star because wowzahs! I love me some Original Cuisine!

I've been eyeing this spot for so long now. Luckily, I was finally able to try it with my friends. We ordered the food to go, and the ordering process to picking it up was very simple and quick. We ordered the shredded pork in special sauce, fried rice, eggplant, cabbage, and the spicy chicken. I think out of all of these options, I'd pass on the fried rice next time (or maybe choose one that added protein). Still, it was very delicious, and offered a middle ground for everyone in case the food was too spicy. They are Szechuan cuisine, so their foods do have a kick to them. I don't like really spicy foods, and at least the dishes we got, I didn't think they were too spicy. Some had more of a kick than others (I think the eggplant did?), but it was all tolerable overall. I'd say a hot cheeto is spicier than the food, but it's still a noticeable presence as it builds over time. I would order the spicy chicken and eggplant again for sure, and would come back to try the mapo next time. I think for the quality, efficiency, price, and how late the restaurant is open, this place gets an A+ in my books!

I honestly don't know why we don't come to Original Cuisine more often. Their food is delicious and the staff members are so friendly. They always make you feel welcome! We always have the spicy crispy chicken with chili. We opt for mild because wow it's spicy, they aren't kidding with their heat levels. It has an insane amount of chopped peppers in it, it's a bit excessive since it's hard to eat around them. We had their chicken fried rice which is flavorful with the right amount of saltiness. This time around we also had their buns with sweetened condensed milk and omg delicious. It was the perfect ending to our meal!

I joined my sister for dinner at this place and we had a good time. Quickly upon walking in, we were greeted and seated. The menus were dropped off and the friendly worker brought us some cold water. We ordered: One order of spicy dumplings One order of garlic green beans One order of the spicy crispy chicken Two white rice's One soda The food came out not too long after and we began to eat. The green beans were our favorite as they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The spicy dumplings were also pretty good, not at all spicy, and they were pretty stuffed. The crispy chicken was hot, crispy, and had a nice kick to them. Service was great as we were checked up on several times. Overall, I will come back!

This place might look a little sketchy from the outside, but the second you walk in, you're hit with an aroma that makes your stomach do a happy dance. Sure, the inside has seen better days, but it's clean, and that's what matters, right? I was greeted right away and shown to my seat, where my server quickly hooked me up with some ice water, a plate, napkin, and chopsticks - ready for action. Original Cuisine serves up both Szechuan and some of the classic American-style Chinese food, so there's something for everyone. I've had the Chongqing Spicy Crispy Chicken with Chili before, and let me tell you, it was freakin' amazing! This time, I decided to switch it up with General Tso's Chicken and grabbed some Chicken Fried Rice for later (because, hey, who doesn't love leftovers?). The General Tso's had just the right kick, and it's hands down the best Chinese food I've had in the valley so far. These guys really know how to pack in the flavor. I can't wait to dig into more of the menu next time. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to again and again! It's probably a good thing that I don't live closer to this place!

Had a chance to try this place for the first time this past Sunday and we were very impressed. Exterior facade was questionable but interior is very cute and inviting. Customer service was amazing from start to finish. We ordered the crispy chicken with crispy peppers, beef belly plate, and egg fried rice. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. Portions are big and well worth the price. My family can't eat spice but they actually love the food. Can't wait to come back and try other dishes.

Original Cuisine in Mesa is a hidden gem for anyone who loves authentic Szechuan/Chinese food. I tried the Chongqing Spicy Crispy Chicken with Chili, and it was absolutely delicious! The spice level was perfect--not too overwhelming, just the right kick to keep you coming back for more. Plus, the portions are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. The atmosphere is really nice, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy your meal. The people there are super friendly, adding to the overall experience. I'm definitely planning on coming back to try more of their menu--it's clear they know what they're doing when it comes to authentic flavors!

I was told this is the best sichuan food in town so I was super excited to try it out. The food there was overall good. I'd consider it authentic Chinese food. We ordered the twice-fried pork and dry pot. The pork was good, but a little bit too salty. The dry pot was a bit lacking in numbing and spicy flavors. We went in at around 5pm, so it was not super busy inside. The service was great. And the ambience in this place is cute with orange as the main decorating color. I want to go back and try some other typically ordered dishes.

Came here for a late night meal...didn't realize that they only serve a limited menu after 9pm...however food was good, flavorful. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of actual spice produce that the grilled chives were doused in- it was too much, but the flavor was good. Would come back again to try other dishes!

When they say authentic they truly mean AUTHENTIC. Or at least it was so delicious and matches up to other true Sichuan/szchewan style Chinese restaurants. MUST try. This style is salty and spicy and it's one of my fave. This also makes for good food for beer and alcohol to match the saltiness. Get the frog dry pot!!! And something fried spicy chicken with the peppers. Service was prompt and attentive, no frills service.
